CRASHED DIRT BIKE: Officers were called on July 5 to a vehicle collision. Officers arrived on the scene and learned a dirt bike had collided with two parked cars. The rider of the bike was being treated by East Pierce Fire and Rescue. Witnesses told officers the bike was going around 40 miles per hour when the bike began to slide. The father of the bike rider had already removed the bike from the scene and was not cooperative when officers asked to see it. After seeing the bike, officers learned it was registered to a Kent resident. The bike rider was cited with reckless driving and for riding without a drivers license.
ANIMAL BITE/MACED: Officers were called July 6 about an animal attack. The reporting party told officers she was walking her dog when two dogs, loose in another yard, crossed the street to get to her and her dog. She told officers one dog bit hers and she maced it. The other dog then came close and she maced that one as well. She then walked away but was confronted by the male owner of the dogs who began threatening her. Officers contacted the female owner of the dogs, who told officers her two dogs escaped but weren’t threatening the other woman’s dog. Officers contacted the male who approached the woman, who said they had a heated discussion but he did not threaten her. Officers advised animal control will follow up on this case.
