Curley called again to be Fantasy auctioneer

The Enumclaw Regional Healthcare Foundation’s Holiday Fantasy, its annual benefit dinner and auction, will take place Dec. 11.

The Enumclaw Regional Healthcare Foundation’s Holiday Fantasy, its annual benefit dinner and auction, will take place Dec. 11. The yearly gala is the largest fundraising event for the foundation during the year.

Holiday Fantasy is returning to Enumclaw Expo Center – after many years at Emerald Downs – making it easier for Plateau residents to attend.

The Holiday Fantasy has again secured the services of John Curley, former host of “Evening Magazine.” Curley brings his wit and excitement to the event as host and auctioneer.

The benefit includes dinner and two auctions. A silent auction of smaller donated items occurs before dinner and then Curley takes the stage to auction larger items to the highest bidder. Available items include a luxurious Holland America cruise for two, a one-week stay in a villa on the island of Maui during winter break and a five-day, all-inclusive fishing trip in Sitka, Alaska, including air fare.

Holiday Fantasy has generated nearly $500,000 the past three years to help organizations provide quality healthcare for residents of the Plateau. Last year’s Fantasy raised enough money to purchase critical care monitoring equipment, a pediatric crash cart and a non-magnetic wheelchair for Enumclaw Regional Hospital. This year, part of the money raised will be used to initiate a dental service for patients of the Plateau that need care but can’t afford it, and needed emergency equipment for the replacement hospital.

Holiday Fantasy is expected to attract nearly 400 participants. Space is limited and tickets are available at the Enumclaw Regional Healthcare Foundation offices at 1147 Myrtle Ave., Suite 103, by phone at 360-802-3206 or online at www.enumclawregionalhealthcarefoundation.org.

Anyone wishing to make a donation is also invited to do so.
