Dieringer Elementary Schools Parent Teacher Association this month gave its annual Golden Acorn award to James Premo, manager of the Top Foods store at Lakeland Hills.
The award is given to a volunteer who goes above and beyond in helping the PTA with their programs.
Premo, whose store sponsors and contributes to many Dieringer events every year and hosts fundraisers for the PTSA said the Golden Acorn was a “great honor.”
“Obviously Dieringer is near and dear to my heart,” Premo said June 8 at a dinner to honor him, hosted by The Rock restaurant at Lakeland Hills. “So I give back as much as I can.”
Premo is also a member of the district school board and has a special needs son at Lake Tapps Elementary.
“I like to be involved with all local churches and schools,” he said.
PTSA President Diana Thornton praised Premo.
“We are ever so grateful for the support for all our programs and events,” she said. “We are so lucky to have such great support from James.”
