Sumner School District is seeking volunteers to write statements regarding future levy measures.

Pierce County Elections Division requires each appointed individual be known to support the measure in which they serve on a “for” committee. Likewise, those who serve on an “against” committee must be known to oppose the measure in question.

Each committee is responsible for preparing statements and rebuttals which will appear in voter’s pamphlets during upcoming elections.

Those interested are required to apply by noon, Nov. 20. The district will notify accepted applicants by Nov. 22. Further instruction will be provided at that time.
