Christmas Trees may be placed inside your yard waste container in line with the standard requirements for these containers: branches may not be larger than 4″ in diameter and must fit into the container with the lid closed (cut into about 3′ pieces).

Here are some tips from DM Disposal and Pierce County on recycling your holiday decorations and wrappings!

Or your can recycle trees free of charge if you self-haul your tree to the Prairie Ridge Transfer Station.

Be sure to remove tree stands, tinsel, decorations, any nails or staples from the tree. Flocked trees cannot be recycled and must be disposed of as garbage.
