Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign begins Aug. 15

Law enforcement in King County will be on our roads in force looking for drivers under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or other drugs.

Law enforcement in King County will be on our roads in force looking for drivers under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or other drugs as part of the annual Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign starting this Friday August 15 through Monday September 1.

Although Washington legalized marijuana for adults 21 and older, it is still illegal and dangerous to drive under the influence of marijuana and alcohol, and marijuana doubles the risk of a fatal crash.  Many of the officers on the patrols have special training to identify when a driver is under the influence of drugs as well as alcohol.
