Driver en route to alcohol treatment stopped for DUI | Washington State Patrol

An Auburn man was stopped Nov. 23 traveling 63 mph in a 50 mph zone on state Route 164 between Enumclaw and Auburn.

WASHINGTON STATE PATROL

TREE TROUBLE: A tree fell on the back of a box truck that was traveling Nov. 25 on state Route 410 near Crystal Mountain Boulevard. The road was closed briefly as the involved party moved the top of the tree to the shoulder. There were no injuries.

WATER RISING: WSP troopers responded Nov. 25 to water across state Route 410 just west of Greenwater.  The state Department of Transportation placed caution signs in the area until the water cleared.

THREE CHARGES: An Auburn man was stopped Nov. 23 traveling 63 mph in a 50 mph zone on state Route 164 between Enumclaw and Auburn. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence, an ignition interlock violation and driving with a suspended license.  The suspect said he was en route to “alcohol treatment.”  A preliminary breath test showed the subject to be above the .08 legal limit.

DRUNK DRIVER: An Enumclaw resident was arrested Nov. 22 for driving under the influence when a trooper observed her vehicle facing the wrong way and stuck in a ditch in the vicinity of state Route 410 and 244th Avenue Southeast. The subject’s breath sample registered .163.

DRUNK, SICK: A Federal Way man was arrested Nov. 22 for driving under the influence after being stopped for speeding. The driver vomited several times while walking from the trooper’s patrol car into the police station. The suspect refused to give a breath sample and was booked into King County jail
