A short stretch of the Green River turned yellow Saturday morning as hundreds of small, rubber ducks floated through Flaming Geyser State Park.
As the first ducks reached the finish line, they brought prizes for those who had bought ducks as part of the annual fund raiser sponsored by the Enumclaw Community Hospital Foundation and local Rotary Club. The two groups split the profits, about $7,200 for each.
Winner of the Foundation race was Chase Manhattan Mortgage. The winner's name goes on a traveling trophy and the winner gets to display the trophy until the following year.
