At approximately 6:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, King County Fire District No. 28 was dispatched to a working fire at the 1600 block of Garfield Street.

Firefighters arrived quickly and found landscape shrubs on fire. The fire was close to one home and melted parts of the siding. It took crews about 15 minutes to contain the fire.

Members from Enumclaw Police Department and Washington State Patrol were present to assist with the scene. The cause of the fire has not been decided; the scene was turned over to the fire investigator.
