Pierce County residents are invited to participate in free earthquake awareness events at Pierce County libraries throughout the months of September and October.

Experts in the field will share tips, tools and products to assist participants in planning for and responding to earthquakes. The science and geologic process behind the region’s quakes will also be discussed.

The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. September 18 in Sumner and 2 p.m. September 20 in Bonney Lake.
