There’s plenty going on this weekend to keep kids and parents entertained.
Wilkeson Eagles Aerie 1409 will host its 10th annual Easter egg hunt at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
The hunt will be at Wilkeson Elementary School, 640 Railroad Ave., and is open to all children up to 16 years of age. There will be several age categories and hundreds of prizes will be awarded.
The hunt is open to all children who live in Wilkeson, Carbonado, Rainier Ranch Sites, Burnett and South Prairie.
The Easter Bunny will be on hand for pictures after arriving on Wilkeson’s vintage 1949 Studebaker fire truck.
Prior to the egg hunt, from 8 to 11 a.m., Carbonado school students will serve an all-you-can-eat Easter breakfast at the Wilkeson Eagles Club, 534 Church St. The public is welcome. Cost of the breakfast is $5, but children 5 and younger eat free.
In addition, there will be drawings.
All proceeds from the breakfast and drawings will help fund a class trip in the spring by the Carbonado eighth graders.
• The Black Diamond Gun Club’s annual Easter egg hunt is planned for Friday. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the first hunt begins at 6:30. The hunt, featuring 4,000 eggs, is for children 10 and younger. Families are asked to provide canned food that will be donated.
The gun club is at 34862 Enumclaw-Black Diamond Rd. in Black Diamond.
• The Buckley Eagles will again offer an egg hunt on the club grounds, 29021 state Route 410. The hunt begins at 10 a.m. Saturday.
• Those who traditionally attend the egg hunt organized by Enumclaw’s Parks and Recreation Department will have to look for other opportunities this year. The egg hunt was one of the activities sacrificed due to a tight city budget.
Crystal Mountain
• Crystal again offers its Easter Summit Sunrise Service. It’s an inter-denominational service Sunday with the sun rising over the snow-covered peaks of the Cascade Range. Guests will ride the Mount Rainier gondola between 5:15 and 5:45 a.m. and regular rates apply.
Breakfast Fundraisers
• The Enumclaw Senior Activity Center will host a pancake breakfast fundraiser for the Enumclaw Youth and Family Services from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the senior center, 1350 Cole St. Adults can eat for $5; kids under 10 years old for $3.
• The Black Diamond Community Center will host its annual Easter breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday.
Breakfast is $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens an $3 for youth 13 and younger. This fundraiser will benefit senior and youth programs at the Black Diamond Community Center.
