Several local events are planned this Easter weekend.
An Adult Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the Sumner-Bonney Lake Parks and Recreation, is 9 p.m. Friday at Allan Yorke Park, Field No. 4.
Adults 18 and older will hunt more than 2,000 eggs with a chance to win prizes such as restaurant certificates, spring gift items, soda, chips, candy and others.
The event will take place rain or shine, and the entry fee is $5. Lineup starts at 8:30 p.m.
Children ages 1-11 can participate and they need to bring a basket. Free photos with the Easter Bunny will be available.
East Pierce Fire and Rescue will host the 19th annual Easter Egg Hunt from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Sunset Chev Stadium, 1707 Main St., in Sumner.
Ages 1-3 begin hunting at 9 a.m., 4-6 at 10 a.m., 7-9 at 11 a.m. and 10-12 at noon.
They will also host the 52nd annual South Prairie Easter Egg Hunt. The free event starts at 10 a.m. at the South Prairie City Park located at Third and Tacoma Streets.
The City of Bonney Lake hosts the fourth annual Easter Egg Hunt, Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. at Allan Yorke Park.
The Retired Eagles Activity Club, along with local merchants are sponsoring their annual Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday. It is open to the public. The famous Easter bunny will be handing out prizes.
The annual Sunrise Easter Service, sponsored by the Sumner-Bonney Lake Ministerial Association, begins 6:30 a.m. Sunday at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner.
Art Sphar, president of the association, said the event begin in the 1950s.
Rev. Anthony Cathey, associate pastor of the Bonney Lake Community Church, will be the event speaker, according to Sphar.
