Emergency crews race to brush fire on Enumclaw’s north side

Plenty of sirens were screaming through Enumclaw between 4:30 and 5 p.m. Monday. The reason? A brush fire on the city's north side that was whipped by gusty winds.

The reason? A brush fire on the city’s north side that was whipped by gusty winds.

The fire was in a field north of Battersby Avenue and east of Cole Street.

While firefighters attempted to keep flames under control, police blocked acces to the area.
