Dec. 25

Disorderly Conduct: Officers were dispatched to an apartment on Myers Road East for the complaint of loud music, yelling and stomping. At contact, the responsible person agreed to keep the noise down but officers were called back again, for the same reason, two more times that evening. At the third point of contact, she was arrested for disorderly conduct and booked into Puyallup jail.

Dec. 26

Theft from Vehicle: A person called to report a vehicle break in that occurred two days prior. The vehicle was left unlocked while parked at a Bonney Lake grocery store. No suspect information was available at the time of report.

Collision: Officers were dispatched to a single vehicle collision, about 20 feet off the embankment at Angeline Road/Veterans Memorial Drive. The driver didn’t sustain any visible injuries and showed no evidence of intoxication. During interactions with police and fire personnel, she appeared confused and exhibited several mood swings, which at one point turned violent as she kicked and screamed. She was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation and issued a citation for inattentive driving.

Juvenile Assault: A person called to report she was physically harmed by her out of control, juvenile daughter. The subject fled the scene prior to police arrival and was unable to be located. The case was forwarded to the Pierce County Juvenile Prosecutor with charges of domestic violence assault in the fourth degree.

DUI and Explosive Devices: An officer on DUI emphasis patrol initiated a traffic stop on a speeding and swerving vehicle. The driver appeared intoxicated upon contact and he registered above the legal limit on a blood alcohol test. Explosive devices were found on his person and were given to a bomb squad sergeant for further investigation. The driver was arrested for DUI and no further information regarding the explosive devices was available at the time of report.

Dec. 27

Suspect Vehicle: Officers saw a vehicle matching the description of a possible stabbing suspect in Sumner and initiated a traffic stop. Upon investigation, the driver wasn’t involved with the stabbing, but appeared to be intoxicated. She was arrested for DUI.

Dec. 28

Shoplifting: An officer responded to the report of a shoplifter in custody by asset protection employees at a state Route 410 retail store. She was issued a citation for theft in the third degree and released at the scene.

Emphasis Patrol: On officer on DUI emphasis patrol stopped a vehicle for swerving and accelerating past the speed limit. Upon contact, the driver displayed obvious signs of impairment and provided two breath samples, both of which registered significantly over the legal limit. He was booked into Pierce County jail for DUI and issued a traffic infraction for speeding.

Dec. 29

Lights Out: A vehicle was pulled over at approximately 1:50 a.m., due to driving without any headlights on. The driver was found to possess two warrants for arrest and was booked into Puyallup jail.

Collision: Officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision on SR 410 but upon arrival, only one vehicle was present. Investigation revealed the other vehicle was parked at a nearby parking lot, with a third vehicle that was also involved. One of the subjects initially claimed to be the causing driver, but it was later determined the actual driver fled the scene, due to a suspended driver’s license and warrant for arrest. The first subject was arrested for providing false statements to a public servant and the actual driver was issued citations for hit and run, driving while license suspended, violation of ignition interlock, following too close, false statement to a public servant and operating motor vehicle without insurance. He was booked by Puyallup Tribal Police for the warrant.

Dec. 30

Shoplifting and a Warrant: An officer was dispatched to a SR 410 retail store for the report of a theft. The subject took several items from the shelf and attempted to return them at customer service, but was turned away. He then attempted to exit the store without offering payment. He was issued a citation for theft and booked into Enumclaw jail for an outstanding warrant.

Dec. 31

Shoplifting: An officer was dispatched to a Bonney Lake retail store for the report of a theft. The subject was arrested without incident and issued a trespass notification, valid for one year.

Dec. 1

Bar Fight: Shortly after 1 a.m., officers were dispatched to a local restaurant due to a fight in the bar. Witnesses reported several people throwing beer bottles and one person was unconscious. The exact cause of the fight was not able to be determined at the time of press, but reports indicate it began when one subject asked a woman to dance.

Mail Theft: A person called to report a package, addressed to her, was found empty in the road. A few days earlier, she noticed her mailbox was open and some of the mail was on the ground. It is unknown if anything else was taken and there is no suspect information available.

Dec. 15

Juvenile Offender: An officer on routine patrol witnessed a vehicle abruptly pull to the side of the road. The passenger staggered out and appeared intoxicated. The driver had not been drinking and was attempting to get his friend home safely. The subject was taken home and released to his parents.

Domestic Violence: A father called to report his son physically assaulted him because he wanted money, but the father refused. When his mother tried to call the police for help, the subject reportedly pulled the phone from the wall so she couldn’t. Charges of assault in the fourth degree and interfering with reporting of domestic violence were forwarded to the prosecutor’s office.

Dec. 16

Threats: Police responded to the report of a woman threatening to kill her husband and herself. She was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.

Dec. 18

Heroin: Officers responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, the windows were fogged and a man sitting in the driver’s seat admitted to attempting  heroin use but threw it out when he saw the officer approach. Drug paraphernalia was found in the vehicle and a friend was called to safely drive the subject home. He is required to appear in court.

Dec. 22

Runaway: An officer responded to the report of a runaway. An area search revealed the subject, who said he didn’t get along with his parents but had nowhere else to go. The subject and his parents were advised to call 911 if arguments escalated.
