Enumclaw, Black Diamond police blotter | April 13- 22

More involuntary commitments, another egging, and a loved one returned to his family.

ENUMCLAW

April 22:

– Officers responded to a report of an individual riding a mini bike on Watson St. N. and Dickson Ave. around midnight. Police made contact and warned the rider, who said they would leave the area.

– Police went to a Semanski St. home to a 7:30 pm. report of a woman screaming from a front doorway. When officers made contact, it was determined there was no issue.

– Officers attempted to search for suspicious suspects around 3:30 p.m. behind a Cole St. dentist office. No subjects were found.

– Police performed a welfare check on an individual sitting on a Myrtle Ave. bench for almost an hour around 1 p.m. The subject said they were resting.

– Officers took a report of a vehicle being recklessly driven on Garrett St. around 11 a.m. The vehicle eluded officers, but the driver was identified.

– A Cole St. diesel gas station called officers around 10 a.m. for a VIN number check. Officers ran the number, and the vehicle was cleared.

– Officers made contact with an individual on Griffin Ave. around 1:30 a.m. asking for help. They were voluntarily committed to St. Elizabeth hospital.

– A Kimberly Ave. and Ventura Ave. home or vehicle was egged around 1 a.m. Officers were unable to locate a suspect.

– Officers responded to a 12:30 a.m. request to be taken back to St. Elizabeth Hospital. When the made contact with the subject, they said they’d sleep for the rest of the night, and go to the hospital themselves in the morning.

April 21:

– A report came to police around 9 p.m. of a woman slumped over the steering wheel in the Safeway parking lot. Officers made contact and took the woman to the hospital.

– Enumclaw police assisted Black Diamond in a high-risk felony stop on Maple Valley Rd. around 7 p.m.

– An individual arrived at the EPD around 4 p.m. to complain of a minor dog bite that happened around Griffin Ave. and Fell St.

– Officers responded to a report of multiple suspicious individuals at a Roosevelt Ave. business around 11 a.m. Police made contact and the subjects agreed to move along.

– Police took the car keys of an inebriated individual on Cole St. around 9:30 a.m. for safekeeping.

April 20:

– An individual already trespassed from a Roosevelt Ave. business was spotted near the property line 9:30 p.m. Officers responded and settled the issue on contact.

– Officers responded to a report of a car not moving on Watson St. N. and Roosevelt Ave. around 9 p.m. When police made contact, they helped the driver push the car off the road while he waited for a tow truck.

– An individual was seen sleeping at Flensted Park around 9 p.m. Officers advised the individual of park hours and they agreed to move along.

– Officers responded to a report of loud music and ATVs on Blake St. When officers arrived, nothing was observed.

– A Commerce St. business reported a theft of numerous items to officers around 9:30 a.m.

– A loud party was reported on Cinkovich St. around 1 a.m. Officers made contact, and the subjects agreed to keep the noise level down.

April 19:

– Officers contacted an individual on Michael Ave. that was knocking on doors around 10:30 p.m. The individual told officers they were looking for someone that lived in the area.

– Reports came in from the Safeway about uniformed individuals — though not police — making contact with people at the store around 8 p.m. Officers determined the individuals to be armed security.

– A Commerce St. business was burglarized, and the report made to police around 12:30 p.m.

– Officers responded to an unwanted subject at St. Elizabeth Hospital emergency department. When officers arrived, the subject was already gone.

April 17:

– Officers checked out a report of a large group gathered at the Semanski St. S. baseball field around 9 p.m. When police arrived, the group was already gone.

April 16:

– Officers responded to a report of a man who exposed himself in public around 4 p.m. on Harding St. and Griffin Ave. The individual was gone by the time police arrived.

– A woman reported her husband, who has dementia, left their place of residence on Roosevelt Ave. around 2 p.m. Officers were able to find the husband and return him to his wife.

– A complaint was lodged against a Cole St. business that is still open during the COVID-19 shutdown. Officers made contact, and determined the business was considered essential.

BLACK DIAMOND

April 19:

– Officers responded to a 10 p.m. report of an individual yelling on 216th Ave. They were unable to locate the subject.

– A go-cart was reportedly being driven by a minor on Kanaskat Dr. around 6 p.m. When officers arrived, they were unable to find the cart.

– Officers cited multiple vehicles parked in a no-parking zone on SE 312th St. around 2 p.m.

April 18:

– Officers were alerted to a theft of vehicle license plates on Naches Peak Ln. around 10 a.m. The case was labeled as inactive until any leads are discovered.

April 16:

– BD Police Chief Kiblinger reported to police of an abandoned car on 2nd Ave. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a silver Mazda stuck in the mud. The vehicle was impounded.

April 15:

– Officers stopped a vehicle on Lawson St. that bore two different license plates, neither of which belonged to the car. The driver was cited and released, while the car was impounded.

April 14:

– A report came in about an individual passing out flyers that accused someone of sexual assault, and that anyone else who has been assaulted should contact the police. Officers contacted the individual responsible for the flyers, and they agreed to stop making and distributing them.

– Officers were alerted to white nationalist Patriot Front stickers being placed on Railroad Ave. around 10:30 a.m. Black Diamond Public Works was contacted to remove the stickers.

April 13:

– Police received a report of a dead bald eagle on Roberts Dr around 7:30 p.m. The animal was turned over to Enumclaw’s Feather Haven bird rescue for proper handling.

– Police aided Enumclaw officers during a Pioneer Street welfare check around 5:30 p.m. Officers stood by while the EPD took the individual to St. Elizabeth Hospital for involuntary commitment.
