December 13
– At 4:15 a.m., police heard of an intoxicated woman walking in the vicinity of Martin Way. An officer made contact and determined she was having a friend transport her to her Puyallup home.
December 12
– A school resource officer requested assistance with an involuntary commitment. One individual was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital.
– Enumclaw police were asked to help Black Diamond authorities, who were responding to a domestic dispute that had turned physical.
– A missing-person report was filed after a caller reported a relative had failed to return home from work.
– Police transported a male inmate to the SCORE jail in Des Moines.
– A U-Haul trailer that had been stolen in Auburn was located in Enumclaw.
December 11
– A resident of a Cole Street facility was reported to be “acting out” and hallucinating. Officers responded and gave assistance until medical personnel arrived.
– After taking a report of a suicidal person, police made contact. The individual agreed to go to the hospital.
– Police were informed at 3:46 p.m. of a residential burglary that had just occurred. Officers searched the vicinity of Pioneer Street but could not locate a suspect vehicle. An examination of the interior of the home found nothing damaged and nothing missing.
– Police took a complaint of door-to-door selling in the Jewell Street neighborhood. Officers made contact and advised of the city code prohibiting such activity. Those attempting the selling were to be picked up by a supervisor.
– A telephone pole was on fire at the intersection of Farman Street and Roosevelt Avenue, prompting police to respond for traffic control.
– A citizen reported being the victim of a telephone scam in which a Social Security number had been provided. Police advised on how to proceed.
December 10
– Police responded at 1:13 p.m. with firefighters to a Nielson Avenue address. A small fire was located and extinguished.
– Police were told at noon of a shoplifting incident at a city grocery store. A suspect vehicle was stopped and the driver was taken into custody on a charge of criminal trespassing. The shoplifting suspect was contacted by telephone and surrendered at the police station.
– At 10 a.m. a delivery truck snagged utility lines in an alley between Cole and Railroad avenues. Puget Sound Energy, Comcast and Century Link were notified.
– A student at a city school was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for an involuntary commitment.
– Police were told at 5:12 a.m. of a suspicious vehicle in the Merritt Avenue area. An officer made contact and found the driver was wanted on an Enumclaw Municipal Court warrant. The suspect was booked into the city jail.
December 9
– A customer was reportedly causing a disturbance at 2:23 p.m. at a city grocery store. The customer departed before police arrived and his vehicle could not be located.
– A vehicle with multiple missing parts was left parked in front of a home for sale on Davis Avenue. Police placed an “impound warning” on the automobile, which remained on the scene. The following day, it was towed away.
– A business that was in the process of delivering thousands of dollars worth of electronics to a city address was concerned that a scam was in process. Police made contact at the intended address and determined the resident was intended to be a victim of a scam. A delivery driver returned the goods to the business.
BLACK DIAMOND
December 8
– At approximately 9:13 p.m., officers responded to the 25600 block of Lawson Street after hearing of an unwanted subject at a residential property. A neighbor had repeatedly rung the reporting party’s doorbell to confront her after a disagreement about a porch light and his right to darkness. Officers contacted both subjects and it was determined no crime had occurred. The neighbor agreed to not go to the reporting party’s property again.
December 7
– An officer responded to the 23500 block of Granite Court after hearing of an unusual occurrence. At about 2 a.m. a man had pushed the doorbell of a residence. A doorbell camera took video of the man, who was wearing only boxers while dragging other clothing. The residents did not wake up when this first occurred. The officer checked the area but was unable to locate the subject.
December 6
– About 10:25 p.m., officers contacted a suspicious subject at the front door of a closed business in the 31500 block of Third Avenue. The man was detained after one of the officers noticed the handle of what appeared to be a pistol sticking out of his jacket. The pistol was found to be a BB gun. The man was released after being questioned about two recent thefts. No criminal charges were pending.
– An officer was dispatched to the Regional Justice Center in Kent to pick up an inmate who was being released. The individual also was wanted on two outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Black Diamond court. The suspect was transported to the Issaquah jail.
– Police were dispatched to a 216th Avenue Southeast location following a reported collision between two vehicles. It was determined there were no injuries and that both vehicles could be driven from the scene. The at-fault driver was cited.
– A report was taken regarding packages taken from a porch at a Second Avenue location. Officers were able to develop suspect information and an investigation was initiated.
December 5
– An officer took a telephone report of mail theft from the 25000 block of Morgan Street. About 45 minutes earlier, police had been told a check had been stolen from a residence in the 33000 block of Glacier Avenue Southeast.
– A two-vehicle collision just after noon had police responding to the 32500 block of Third Avenue. Subsequent investigation determined that the at-fault driver was under the influence, and that individual was arrested and booked into jail.
December 3
– City police officers were dispatched to confirm a local warrant for King County deputies. After officers confirmed the warrant, deputies arrested the suspect and booked him into the Enumclaw jail.
– Officers were contacted by an individual claiming to be the victim of identity theft. It was stated that an unknown individual had used the reporting party’s Social Security number to open a credit card account. An investigation was initiated.
