If you are a sophomore or older and are interested stop by the counseling center to get the application. The deadline to apply is March 14th and there are only 15 spots available.

The Local Scholarships are now available. Please go to documents in the career center swift website to access the scholarship list, or you can stop by the career or counseling center to pick up a copy. All applications are due the counseling center by April 10th.

Information in Review:
It’s that time of year again! Our second Blood Drive of the year is Tuesday, March 19th. Sign-ups are today until March 18th during both lunches. There will be no sign-ups on HSPE days.
If you are a student who is interested in Running Start, there will be an information session at the Lindbloom Student Center at GRCC’s main campus on Monday, March 11th at 5:30 pm, Tuesday, March 26th at 6:00 pm, Monday, April 22nd at 6:30 pm, and Tuesday, April 30th at 5:30 pm.
Are you a student that would like to learn more about the fashion industry? Nordstrom is currently accepting applications for the Nordstrom BP Fashion Board for the 2013-14 school year. The Fashion Board covers a variety of topics including trend forecasting, advertising, marketing, buying, styling and the world of retail. The deadline to apply is April 15th, go to http://bit.ly/WN1fAE to apply.
**The High School Proficiency Exam (HSPE) will be administered on March 12, 13 and 14.
The Writing HSPE will be given on March 12 & 13. Students need to be present on both days.
The Reading HSPE will be given on March 14.
**Passing the Writing and Reading HSPE is a graduation requirement. All sophomores will be taking these tests in March. In addition, any junior and senior who need to pass one of these state assessments will be able to retake either of these tests at the designated times.
**The testing window for the HSPE will be 8:00 to 11:00 AM. Testing locations are in the 200, 300 and 600 buildings. There are no regular classes during this time. A four period afternoon schedule is set up for these three days.
**Students who do not need to take either or both of the HSPE tests can take advantage of a number of non-test options. These include AP Seminars in the 100 building, a film festival in the auditorium, and a study hall in the library. The ASVAB Test will be administered on March 12th for those juniors who are not taking the HSPE. The ASVAB test will be administered in the 400 building.

Native American /Alaskan Native Club meets monthly with no fees to participate. The group will learn leadership skills and participate in cultural events. If you have questions please see Cathy in the Counseling Center.
“ALL” EHS Students!!!! The Enumclaw HS (EHS) Running Club has begun! If you are interested in joining, meet in front of the weight room at 2:55PM Monday through Thursday and Fridays at 1:45PM. This club will go through the rest of the school year. This free club is open to anyone interested and is Open to all abilities. If you have questions Talk to Coach Stussy or Coach Trevor.
Spanish Club is a group that celebrates Hispanic and Latino culture and practices the use of the Spanish language. The club is organized and ran by student leaders in the University of Washington Spanish class. Spanish club meets once a month in Profa. Stewart’s room 141 from 2:45-3:45. Each month we learn and celebrate a topic related to Hispanic and/or Latino Heritage. This is great place to meet friends, earn culture credit points, and have a good time. Membership dues are $5.00 per semester. 2012/2013 dates: 3/14, 4/11, and 5/9.

The Rainier Plateau Rugby Club is seeking both boys and girls for their teams. The season is just starting and will end in early May. No experience or knowledge of playing rugby is necessary and there are no tryouts or cuts. The teams practices on Monday and Wednesday nights 6pm – 8pm at Sumner, Bonney Lake and occasionally Auburn High Schools. To find about more on
