Boys JV and Varsity Basketball’s year-end banquet to celebrate a great season is TONIGHT, March 13th at 7 p.m. in the EHS Commons. Juniors and seniors, please bring a main dish, sophomores and freshmen, please bring salads. Everything else will be provided and family members are welcome!
Wrestling Banquet is this Thursday, March 14 at 6:00PM in the Commons. Remember freshman & sophomores bring a couple of liters of pop and juniors and seniors yummy desserts.
Gymnastics Awards are March 20th at 7:00PM in the EHS Library.
EHS Robotics! The end of the season annual potluck and certificates awards night is Friday, March 22 from 7:00 to 8:00pm in room 603. (Please remember what you signed –up to bring.)

Monday – Western Day: Cowboy boots, hats, and flannels strongly encouraged
Tuesday – Tacky Tourist Day: Break out the hats, socks & sandals, sunscreen, and fanny packs
Wednesday – Domino Day w/ a Dash of Pink: Black and white with some pink to support the “Legally Blonde” matinee
Thursday – Throwback Day: Pick your favorite decade or year and dress it up
Friday – Class Color Day & Pep Assembly: 12-black, 11-maroon, 10-gold, 9-white
Pennies for Patients Fundraiser is going on now to raise money for cancer patients and cancer research until the 29th of March. So please bring your money to any of your classes even the Hive and place it in the boxes provided.

Your chance for a GRAD AD has been extended to Thursday, March 14. Please get them in ASAP.
The Local Scholarships are now available. Please go to documents in the career center swift website to access the scholarship list, or you can stop by the career or counseling center to pick up a copy. All applications are due the counseling center by April 10th.

Thank you all for voting for our “Health Hunters” video on Facebook. We took 2nd place and will receive $5,000 for our nutrition/PE programs at EHS. You can check out the “Big” check in a display in the commons. Pictures are also posted on the district’s Facebook page. In addition to the $5,000, 10 students in the video received $50 Visa and $25 REI gift cards! Thanks again for voting!”
Come build a muscle at the Hive. Donate a dollar and get your name on a clover and all proceeds will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Clovers are only a $1.00 and you will be helping a great cause while buying your favorite products at the Hive.
It’s that time of year! Are you interested in being part of the Executive Council at EHS? ASB Officer petitions will be available in the Activities/Athletics office on Monday, March 18th! Pick yours up and make a difference for our school!!
This weekend was the Vocal Solo and Ensemble Competition, and EHS Hornets represented well. Camerata and Coro di Uomo ensembles won their categories and are heading to State. Henry McDougall won the Baritone category and is going to State. Kyle Sturmer and Mollie Parce and Chamber choir were alternates for their categories earning superior scores.
Other amazing vocalists earning superior and excellent ratings were, Josh McLeod, Anna Harris, Tori Whitten, Tori Turnbow, Courtney Kinniburgh, Michelle McGrath, Katelin Wilson, Jessica Lorenz, Lindee Virgin, Shannon McHugh and Morgan Martinson. We are so proud of all of our Hornets who continue demonstrating EHS Vocal Excellence.

If you are a student who is interested in Running Start, there will be an information session at the Lindbloom Student Center at GRCC’s main campus on Monday, March 11th at 5:30 pm, Tuesday, March 26th at 6:00 pm, Monday, April 22nd at 6:30 pm, and Tuesday, April 30th at 5:30 pm.
Are you interested in touring the Auburn Boeing Plant and learning about Boeing? The Boeing Job Shadow is on March 28, 2013. If you are a sophomore or older and are interested stop by the counseling center to get the application. The deadline to apply is March 14th and there are only 15 spots available.

Are you a student that would like to learn more about the fashion industry? Nordstrom is currently accepting applications for the Nordstrom BP Fashion Board for the 2013-14 school year. The Fashion Board covers a variety of topics including trend forecasting, advertising, marketing, buying, styling and the world of retail. CLUBS:
Native American /Alaskan Native Club meets monthly with no fees to participate. The group will learn leadership skills and participate in cultural events. If you have questions please see Cathy in the Counseling Center.
Spanish Club is a group that celebrates Hispanic and Latino culture and practices the use of the Spanish language. The club is organized and ran by student leaders in the University of Washington Spanish class. Spanish club meets once a month in Profa. Stewart’s room 141 from 2:45-3:45. Each month we learn and celebrate a topic related to Hispanic and/or Latino Heritage. This is great place to meet friends, earn culture credit points, and have a good time. Membership dues are $5.00 per semester. 2012/2013 dates: 3/14, 4/11, and 5/9.
