Attention, sophomores and juniors, interested in helping new students adjust to EHS, while also learning fun leadership skills? Then apply to be a Link Crew leader. Application can be picked up at the ASB or main office and are due this Friday.
SENIORS: We are still accepting money for Grad Night. Please send money as soon as you can. We are now signing up students for buses. You MUST be paid in full before you can sign up. A parent will be here TODAY to accept money and sign you up during lunch time.
Have you ever wondered what the field of Occupational Therapy is like? Then come to the career center on TODAY during Core/Choice. There will be an Occupational Therapy student from Green River discussing what Occupational Therapy is and schooling options both in state and out of state.
DO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE? Dance Team Tryout Week begins TUESDAY, May 29th, in the Weight Training/Conditioning Room from 2:45- 4:45. Registration information is NOW available in the Activities Office or on Mrs. Lang’s Swift Web Page. Pick one up today because a current physical is required for tryouts. The EHS DANCE team will include boys and girls on this year’s team to perform all styles of dance. If you have rhythm, style, musicality, and showmanship, you may have just what it takes to be part of this year’s Dance Team! Dance training will help, but don’t count yourself out if you haven’t been professionally trained! Talk to Mrs. Lang if you have any questions or concerns in Room 219.
After school math tutoring is available for any students who need a little extra help with homework or preparing for tests. Tutoring is held Thursday in room 211 from 2:40 to 3:30. Drop in for all or just part of the time to get your math questions answered. Hope to see you there.
IT’S PROM SEASON!! Order your corsage/boutonnière at the EHS Hornet Floral Shop today! Stop by Room 810 soon, orders must be received by May 30th! Boutonniere’s are $10, corsages are $15, or you can pay $20 for the set. All pieces will be made with roses and can be sprayed any color! Please pay cashier and bring receipt to pick up your pieces Friday, June 1st!
PROM TICKETS will be on sale during lunches next week, May 21st – May 24th at the ASB window in the Commons. $80.00 for first 215 purchased, all remaining tickets will be $85.00. Running Start students who can not make it during this time can purchase tickets from the Cashier between 2:00-3:00pm these days.
PROM ROYALTY VOTING will be during both lunches May 22nd – May 24th. Seniors only!
WALKING PARTNERS need to be selected! You will be able to sign up during lunches the week of June 4th – June 8th in the Commons.
GRADUATION TICKETS will be distributed during both lunches June 4th – June 8th. Each graduate will receive 10 complimentary tickets, and any additional tickets may be purchased for $3 each. No tickets will be sold at the door of Graduation!

We are proud to announce that our Equestrian Team took 2nd at state last weekend! Congratulations!
Congratulations State Judo Champions. The following competed at State and Enumclaw came in 4th. Team Captains, Jade Paterson and Stevie Williams placed 2nd in their divisions, Carrie Brocx placed 3rd, Danielle Cormier placed 2nd, Sean Wei, placed 3rd. Other competitors were Joseph Ginez, Kaitlin Lovelace, Nathen Nguyen, Kyristin Schlager, Catlin Williams and Jessica Conrad.
COUNSELING NEWS:
The April/May Monthly Scholarship & College Information List is now available. Stop by the Counseling or Career Center to pick up a copy or go to the Career Center Swift Website.
SENIORS 2012:
If you are a senior that has received 6 letters or more, please stop by the Athletic Office.
Seniors: If you ordered honor cords, they are available for pick-up in the Main Office. See Mrs. Bray.
Graduation Walking Partners will be assigned the week before Graduation when tickets are being handed out and also at Senior Check out.
Please let us know of any scholarships you have earned. Go to the Enumclaw High School Homepage and click on the link for Senior Scholarship Form and follow directions on form. The deadline to turn any scholarships in is May 18th
Seniors, if you received an invitation to the senior luncheon on May 24 be sure to RSVP by placing the blue ticket with your name on it in the box in the office. Invitations went to all seniors with a cummulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. If you did not receive an invitation, but believe that you should have, please see Mrs. Ross in room 211.
If you are a senior — please stop by the activity office.
Countdown to Commencement:
Each day through June 8th, Mr. Nelson would like one or more 2012 graduates to be featured on the district website as we “Countdown to Commencement”. There is a short form available in the Activities Office to be completed by the graduate. Please return your completed form to the Activities Office. A picture of the graduate will be posted on the website along with the information from the form. We would be pleased to have ALL the 2012 grads featured!
Graduation announcements are available in the Main Office for purchase. They are $1.25 ea.
And if you have not picked up your gown, etc. it is available in the main office right now!
SENIORS: Do you qualify for the COMMITMENT AWARD? Did you turn out for any sports? Have you been in any Clubs? Did you run for an office? In BOC? Were you on the Honor Roll? The Native American Club is an opportunity for students to participate in leadership and cultural activities. The group will meet on the first Tuesday of the month in the counseling offices. There are no fees to participate in the club. Club participation is a great opportunity to learn about Tribal leadership.

The Plateau Running Club of Enumclaw proudly presents the Amazing 3000 Elementary and Open Cross Country race at Southwood Elementary School. Join the fun – the school with the most runners participating will receive a donation to their phy-ed program for new equipment! Applications are available in the Athletic Office.

Pasado’s Safe Haven is one of the premier animal rescue organizations in the United States, dedicated to 24-hour rescue and rehabilitation of dogs, cats and farm animals. Located on 85 pastoral and wooded acres one hour northeast of Seattle, the sanctuary is home to hundreds of dogs, cats, cows, chickens, ducks, goats, turkeys, pigs, and donkeys. Look forward to laughs and stories and dancing. You and your family are expected to attend. No exceptions will be made without written explanation slip from a parent or doctor.
Please bring a pot luck item and beverage of your choice. This is the hot ticket in town- so come on out and enjoy showing your appreciation for this great educator. Oh, and spread the word to other students, EHS staff, and friends. It’s going to be a great time. Dress is strictly formal Enumclaw- barn boots, cork boots, or whatever is comfortable.
