Thinking about Homecoming? It’s time to place your order for corsage and boutonnieres! Come to the Floral Room (Ag Building, Room 810) to place your order with us. We will take orders until Wednesday, September 26th. Corsages are $15 and Boutonnieres are $10. You choose the color! Come order today!
Wednesday, September 19th, SENIORS…..for all of you that are interested in the process of creating and helping with the Homecoming float……..Please attend a meeting in Christy Weinbrecht’s room #210 at 7:30AM. Let’s make it the “Best It’s Ever Been”.
Attention juniors Wednesday, September 19 during CORE/Choice, there will be a class meeting in Mrs. Lang’s room, 219. We will be discussing HC float plans and future junior class activities. All juniors are welcome to come.
Information in Review:
High School basketball open gyms are Mondays, starting September 17, from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Open to all Enumclaw High School students. Any students currently in a fall sport are highly encouraged to get written permission from their coach to participate.
There will be a BOC meeting Thursday, September 20 during CORE/Choice. Please email Mrs. Miller your second period BOC representative by Tuesday the 18th.. Make sure your BOC representative attends the meeting. (Do you know what BOC means?)

Dance guest passes for Homecoming are available in the Activity Office now. If you are bringing someone not enrolled at EHS you will need to fill this out and returned them to Mr. Pennington no later than Monday 24, 2012.
Come to the Homecoming Parade on September 28th at 4:00PM on Cole Street. All entry forms must be into Mrs. Miller by September 21st.
Attention all students! Homecoming Spirit Week is coming up in less than 2 weeks! Starting Monday, September 24th, we have College Day so that you can represent your favorite college, Tuesday is Twin Day, Wednesday is Boys vs Girls, boys wear blue and girls wear pink, Thursday is Skittles Day, wear as many colorful clothes as possible, and Friday is Class Color Day, freshmen wear white, sophomores wear gold, juniors wear maroon and seniors wear black. This year if you dress up you can receive a Spirit Card that will be entered into a drawing for some awesome prizes at the Homecoming Assembly.

SENIORS: Information for Senior Photos for the yearbook
Photo size: 2” X 3”
Head Size: 1 ¼ from the top of the head to bottom of the chin
Photo type: Color glossy, no soft focus, no snap shots, no glamour shots, no hats, no hands, just head and shoulders.
Background: Should be a neutral background in blue, beige, or brown. If you expect to get a photo taken by a studio other than Dorian, you should have an appointment prior to September 15 in order to get the photo to school by October 12.
Change of dates for the PSAT/NMSQT. We have changed the testing date to Wednesday, October 17th at EHS during the morning from 8-12:00 in the large gym or library. If you would like to take the test you may sign-up at the cashier’s office and pay the $20 fee for the test. A practice test is included in the pamphlet you will receive when you pay.
Who should take this test? 9th, 10th and 11th graders who are college bound students wanting an inexpensive practice for the SAT. In addition, for 11th graders, it is an opportunity to complete for the 9,600 National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test scholarships.
EHS Student Football Fans: Thank you for your continued support of Enumclaw High School football at Pete’s Pool. A special announcement to all the tailgaters who enjoy pre-game activities in the parking lots—at the start of game time, all EHS students must either enter the stadium or leave the parking lots. Thanks for your understanding of this new safety requirement.
RETAKE PHOTO DAY is October 11 from 8:00 to 11:30AM in the Auditorium Lobby This is for students that did not like their photos or new students or anyone else that did not get their photos taken. Everyone is required to have and ID card. They are free. ASB cards are $40.00.

The September Scholarship List is now available. Included is information for college planning, scholarships, college visits, enrichment opportunities and more. Go to the career center swift website to print a copy or stop by the counseling or career center.
CLUBS:
CHANGE IN DAYS: Join the Weight Club for fall season. We meet at 2:30-4:00PM on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Pay $10 at the cashier’ office with your Weight Club form and your good to go. See Mr. Gutierrez in room 209 if any questions.
COMMUNITY Happenings:
The Enumclaw Clothing Bank is opening for “Back to School” shopping. We are open every Tuesday from 10am-6pm. (closed on school closures and holidays) We are located at the JJ Smith building on Fell St. in the old library.
Do you like to bowl? Do you need some community service hours? Do you need a letter of recommendation? This is a fun way to do your community service. You will bowl as a peer coach with an athlete with a disability. Assisting during practice and competing together at the King County Bowling Tournament. You do not need to be a great bowler just ready to have fun. We will have Adult Coaches to help you learn to bowl.
Enumclaw Special Olympics Bowling is taking registration for athletes with a disability and peer coaches without a disability.
We start bowling on Friday Sept. 21st – 3:30 to 5:00 at Daffodil Bowl in Puyallup.
Practice will be every Friday through Nov. 3rd. The Special Olympics Tournament is Sunday Nov. 4th 9am – 3

findingkind – a movement and documentary directed by Lauren Parsekian bringing awareness of the effects of meanness within “girl world” will be showing on Tuesday, September 18 at 7:00PM at the Chalet Theater, 1721 Wells Street. IT IS A MUST SEE FOR FREE!
EHS PTSO presents:
PARENTS HELPING PARENTS~ “Senior Night”
Tuesday, October 2nd 7:00pm EHS Library
This is a workshop designed to help guide parents through their student’s senior year. We will be giving a short presentation on the unexpected costs of senior year given by parents of graduating seniors. We will also have the high school counselors there to help answer questions regarding, FASFA, scholarships, senior project and credit retrieval, to name a few. Afterwards, administrators, counselors, and parents will be set up at “stations” to help answer any additional questions.
We hope you will join us for a very informative night. We plan on having additional workshops throughout the year geared to help parents on many different topics of interest.
This information is for girls concerning Homecoming on September 29. If you are going to Homecoming and need a dress or gown for a $10.00 donation, come to JJ Smith School on September 12 between 2:30 & 4:30PM. Many nice gowns are available and it is first come first serve. These are offered by Prom Dreams.
