AGENCY ASSISTS: During the early-morning hours of Dec. 12, Enumclaw police were asked to assist two other agencies. At 3:54 a.m., the Washington State Patrol asked for help locating a vehicle reportedly in the ditch on state Route 410 just west of 244th Avenue Southeast. The vehicle could not be found. At 4:33 a.m., Buckley police called, asking for assistance with an arrest.

TOO PUSHY: Police were told the afternoon of Dec. 12 of an aggressive panhandler on Roosevelt Avenue by the veterans memorial. The subject was contacted and advised to leave the area.

DOG MUST GO: A McKinley Street resident called police Dec. 11, concerned that a new neighbor might have a pit bull at the residence. After the neighbor confirmed she had such a dog, she was told of the city prohibition of the breed and given a copy of the ordinance. She was given one week to find a new home for the dog.

KNOWN SUSPECT: An officer responded to a Roosevelt Avenue address the afternoon of Dec. 10, following a report of property being stolen. An officer filed a report and attempted to contact a named suspect. The suspect’s girlfriend said she would make sure the missing item was returned.

DRINK DRIVER: Police were notified at 3 p.m. Dec. 10 of a motorist who was swerving into oncoming traffic in the vicinity of state Route 410 and Warner Avenue. An officer located the vehicle and made an arrest for driving under the influence. The vehicle was impounded.

DOMESTIC: Police responded at 7:30 p.m. Dec 9 to a Grand Fir Drive residence and a report of a domestic dispute involving an intoxicated man who was refusing to leave. He departed shortly before police arrived and could not be located. The woman involved in the dispute was advised to call police again should the man return. A second call came less than an hour later, with the victim stating the man had assaulted her and left the house on foot. He was found nearby and taken into custody for fourth-degree assault.

TWO CHARGES: A traffic stop at 1:30 a.m. Dec. 9 resulted in the driver arrested for investigation of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was impounded.

FELONY WARRANT: A woman arrived at the police station lobby the afternoon of Dec. 9, asking to speak with an officer. It was determined she was wanted on a King County arrest warrant and was turned over to county authorities.
