Anyone looking to register for Parks and Recreation programs should now head for Enumclaw City Hall, rather than the Expo Center.
For reasons largely due to dollars and cents, the city has moved four Parks and Recreation employees from their Expo Center digs and placed them in other city buildings.
“It’s one less building we have to heat,” City Administrator Mike Thomas said, explaining the move. There were other costs associated with keeping employees at the Expo Center that will disappear, he added.
Parks and Recreation previously operated out of City Hall, but was moved about three years ago to renovated space at the Expo Center.
Now, Gwen Streeter is found in the city’s Finance Office, where she will take registration and payment for departmental offerings. Recreation Manager Michelle Larson has been moved to the Stevenson/Yerxa Building, occupied primarily by the city’s Public Works Department and Department of Community Development. Kristen Damazio, the Expo Center manager, is working out of a City Hall office and Branden Harrell has moved to City Shops.
All phone numbers for the department and its employees remain the same.
