ARRESTED: While on patrol Thursday, an officer spotted a subject known to be wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Enumclaw Municipal Court. The person was taken into custody and held on $50,000 bond or $5,000 cash.

LOW-HANGING LINE: Police were alerted Thursday to a line hanging low in the vicinity of Griffin Avenue and Florence Street, keeping large trucks and buses from passing through. Representatives of the local police force and Washington State Patrol remained on the scene until a Comcast employee arrived.

POTENTIAL SUICIDE: A May 12 caller asked police how to deal with a friend’s recent suicide threat. The caller had received a photo of the friend standing on a bridge. King County authorities were notified.

SIPHONING: Warner Avenue residents asked for extra police patrol May 12 in light of recent problems with gasoline being siphoned from neighborhood vehicles.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: Extra patrol was requested May 12 for the vicinity of Bruhn Lane and Riggs Drive as some of the equipment in a playground area had been vandalized the previous few nights.

HUFFING: An officer responded at 4:30 a.m. May 11 after hearing of a subject locked in a portable restroom near the intersection of Warner Avenue and state Route 410. The officer made contact with an individual who was found to be huffing, or breathing in an aerosol for the “high” it provides. It was determined the subject also had damaged the restroom.

SCHOOL ASSAULT: Police responded the morning of May 11 to Enumclaw High School after learning of an assault. A suspect was taken to the local jail for booking, then released.

CAR STOLEN: Police took a report the morning of May 10 regarding a 1992 Honda Civic that had been stolen. That evening, the King County Sheriff’s Office advised that the vehicle had been recovered in the 37000 block of 304th Avenue Southeast, missing its rear bumper. The owner was notified and was making arrangements to retrieve the vehicle.

TO THE HOSPITAL: Police learned May 10 of a possibly-suicidal subject in the Garrett Street vicinity. The person was located, evaluated and then taken, involuntarily, to Enumclaw Regional Hospital.

WARRANT ARREST: A routine traffic stop May 9 resulted in the driver being arrested on an outstanding felony warrant issued by the state Department of Corrections. The vehicle was released to a passenger.

ARRESTED IN SEATTLE: Local authorities received word May 9 that Seattle police had a subject in custody on two outstanding arrest warrants issued by Enumclaw Municipal Court. The original charges were domestic violence/assault and violation of a no-contact order. Officers from Seattle and Enumclaw met in Issaquah to transfer custody of the inmate.

NO BURGLARY: Police responded to Griffin Avenue location the afternoon of May 9 after hearing of a burglary in progress. Instead, they found three juveniles trying to climb onto the roof to retrieve a hackysack.

DRUG CHARGES: An officer responded to McFarland Park at 12:45 p.m. May 8 after hearing of drug activity in a parked car. A woman was taken into custody for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her vehicle was released to a family member.

NOT COMING OUT: Police responded the afternoon of May 7 to a Semanski Street address after hearing that two people had barricaded themselves in a room and were refusing to come out. Officers made contact with the two; one was taken to the Auburn hospital on an involuntary commitment.

WHITE POWDER: The dean of students at Enumclaw High School requested police assistance the morning of May 6 regarding a bag containing a white, powdery substance. Information was taken; no suspect was named.

INTOXICATED: A traffic stop at 9:45 p.m. May 6 resulted in the driver being arrested and booked for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. A family member was called to care for two children who were home alone.
