TOSSED OUT: An officer on patrol at 12:37 a.m. Sept. 29 was flagged down by a man who had been asked to leave his residence and had all his belongings thrown outside. An officer contacted a roommate, who agreed to store the belongings in the garage until they could be retrieved.

WELFARE CHECK: Police were contacted at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 29 and told of a man stretched out on a strip of grass in the vicinity of Porter Street and Washington Avenue. The intoxicated man was given a ride to his home.

DRUNK AND LOUD: Police received several reports the evening of Sept. 28 regarding an intoxicated man in the parking lot of a McKean Court complex. He was said to be yelling profanities and playing a radio to loud. Officers found the person and provided a ride to a family member’s residence in Buckley.

TWO CHARGES: One person was taken into custody and booked Sept. 28 for possession of marijuana and telephone harassment.

VIOLATING COURT ORDER: A citizen in the lobby of the police station reported Sept. 28 to being the victim of threats. Police took a suspect into custody later than day, both for the threats and for violating a no-contact order.

IT’S A SCAM: Police heard of a “quick change” scam perpetrated the afternoon of Sept. 27 at a Monroe Avenue business. A surveillance tape was provided and report taken.

THREATS MADE: A Sept. 27 report of threats being made at a Warner Avenue location led to the arrest of one person for creating a public disturbance.

ONE CHARGED: Police heard of a fight in progress at 9:20 p.m. Sept. 27 at a Monroe Avenue address and took one person into custody for fourth-degree assault.

PROWL INTERRUPTED: A Chelsea Lane resident called police at 5:20 a.m. Sept. 26, reporting he interrupted a male who was attempting to enter a vehicle parked across the street. The suspect fled on a bicycle and could not be found.

ASSAULT: An in-progress assault was reported the afternoon of Sept. 26 by someone on a business line that was quickly disconnected. Police responded to a Cole Street address where they took a person into custody for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A report issued at 6:30 p.m. Sept 26 led to one person taken into custody for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence at a Weatherbee Lane address.

SUSPICIOUS: A suspicious van drove past a young girl several times while she was walking home at 6:40 p.m. Sept. 26. The vehicle was described as a purple, older minivan with tinted windows and it was last seen in the vicinity of Kibler Avenue and Highpoint Street.

WINDOW SHOT: A Gossard Place resident reported Sept. 25 a window of a motorhome was shot out during the previous 24 hours. There were no suspects. Damage was estimated at $400.

DISTURBANCE: Officers responded at 2 a.m. Sept. 24 to a Railroad Street location after hearing of a fight developing in an alley. The issue was settled upon police contact and all involved were told to leave the area.

VIOLATING COURT ORDER: Police responded at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 to a Roosevelt Avenue address after receiving a call about juveniles harassing passersby in a business parking lot. One was taken into custody for violation of a court order.

SEVERAL CHARGES: Police wound up taking several people into custody shortly before 2 a.m. Sept. 25, after initiating a traffic stop on a vehicle with a flat tire. The driver was taken into custody for driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and possession of marijuana. A male passenger was taken into custody on a Fife warrant and a female passenger was taken into custody for possession of both marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
