THEFT: Police were told April 21 of an iPod stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a Porter Street driveway. There were no suspects or leads.

TAKEN FROM GARAGE: A Chinook Avenue resident reported to police April 21 the theft of a generator and air compressor from a garage.

WRONG ADDRESS: A Chinook Avenue resident called police at 2:50 a.m. April 20, reporting someone was banging on her door. Police contacted the suspect, who was highly intoxicated and had gone to the wrong apartment.

FAMILY ASSAULT: An officer responded April 20 to a Myrtine Street residence following a report of an assault between an adult brother and sister. Property damage also was reported.

THREATS MADE: A Myrtine Street resident asked for police assistance April 19 due to telephone threats being made by a known suspect. The victim was given options and the item was filed as “information only” at this time.

WON’T STOP: Police were asked to focus on the intersection of Division Street and McHugh Avenue due to a high number of motorists running through the four-way stop. The request was for extra patrol at all times, but particularly in the afternoon.

CEASE AND DESIST: A city resident asked for police help regarding a civil dispute over excavating equipment that has led to threats being made. An officer contacted a named suspect and advised that the threatening message should cease.

DRUG OFFENSES: A traffic stop at 9:44 p.m. April 19 on Cole Street resulted in the driver being arrested and booked for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Passengers in the automobile also were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. One of the occupants, a juvenile, was released to a parent.

ONE ARRESTED: A traffic stop at 8:49 p.m. April 18 resulted in the driver being arrested for violating a no-contact order. The vehicle was released to its registered owner, who was a passenger in the automobile and the person being protected by the no-contact order. The driver also was cited for operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

SUSPICIOUS: An Enumclaw mother told police the evening of April 18 she had received a call from her son, who reported he was being held hostage in an apartment, the result of a drug deal gone bad. The son added he would be killed if he didn’t come up with some money. He contacted his mother a second time, reporting he was walking with “two guys from Buckley” and again repeated he would be killed if he couldn’t come up with some cash. Officers searched from Enumclaw to Buckley but found nothing.

INVOLUNTARY COMMIT: A woman was taken to to the Renton hospital the afternoon of April 18 as an “involuntary commit.” Hospital staff was instructed to contact Enumclaw authorities when the woman was ready to be released, so officers could take her into custody on an Enumclaw Municipal Court warrant.

PARTY BUSTED: A Myrtine Street resident told police at 10:16 p.m. April 17 a party had been broken up where minors were drinking alcohol. The partiers were reportedly loading alcohol into vehicles and perhaps heading to Auburn. Officers responded but everyone was gone.

ANIMAL TROUBLE: Police received several calls April 16 regarding a pit bull running loose. One person was taken to Enumclaw Regional Hospital after suffering a dog bite. The animal owner was taken into custody and booked for keeping an illegal dog in the city limits.

VEHICLE PROWL: An Initial Avenue resident reported a vehicle prowl at 2:52 p.m. April 16. There was minor damage done to the vehicle and nothing was taken.

FAMILY CONCERN: A resident arrived in the police station lobby April 16, asking for advice about a family member who has a mental disability but has been ordering weapons via the Internet.

OUT OF CONTROL: Police were asked April 16 to respond to a Chinook Avenue address to deal with an out-of-control granddaughter. Upon arrival, an officer requested aid for superficial cuts on the juvenile subject, who was voluntarily transported to Enumclaw Regional Hospital for observation.
