DUI CRASH

• Officers responded the afternoon of Aug. 12 to a two-car accident in the vicinity of Roosevelt Avenue and Farman Street. One driver was arrested for driving under the influence and his automobile was impounded.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

• Police responded shortly before 11 a.m. Aug. 11 to a Sorrenson Avenue address, where a man said he witnessed his sister being hit three times by a vehicle driven by her boyfriend. After contacting all parties, police arrested the boyfriend for fourth-degree assault.

DAMAGE DONE

• A bottle thrown from a passing car hit the windshield of another vehicle, causing it to shatter. There were no suspects in the incident, which occurred Aug. 11.

JUVENILE TROUBLE

• A juvenile female was yelling and causing a disturbance a few minutes before midnight Aug. 10 at a Roosevelt Avenue address. An officer contacted the girl, took her to the police station and attempted to contact a parent. A sergeant later provided the girl a ride home.

UNWANTED ACTIVITY

• Police received multiple complaints the afternoon of Aug. 10 about a man approaching people and asking for money, even asking that they go to an automated machine to get cash. When police responded, he was inside a Monroe Avenue store. Officers located the man, asked him to leave the store and told him stop approaching people for money.

ASSAULT REPORTED

• Police received a call at 2 p.m. Aug. 10 from a man in the intensive-care unit at Enumclaw Regional Hospital. The man said he was the victim of an assault and robbery at his home.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT

• Police received multiple complaints the evening of Aug. 10 about two dogs running loose and attacking children. Calls came from people living on Bathke and Wallace avenues and Carely and Farrelly Place. Statements were taken from victims and witnesses and officers contacted the dogs’ owners.

THEFT

• A McHugh Avenue resident reported the theft of checks from a mailbox Aug. 10. The loss was estimated at $11,000.
