MINOR WANTED: An officer responded at 1:16 a.m. Aug. 16 to a Battersby Avenue address after receiving a report of suspicious subjects. He learned a resident had seen people enter her property; after she yelled, they ran, but were still standing nearby. The officer made contact and arrested two minor for being in possession of alcohol. After the subjects were released, it was learned that one of them was wanted on a felony warrant issued by the state Department of Correction and another warrant issued by Seattle.

THEFT: Police received a report Aug. 16 that camera equipment had been stolen from a Cole Street address. The missing items were valued at approximately $8,000.

NO ENTRY: A Summer Place resident told police Aug. 16 that someone had attempted to break into her garage. Entry was not gained and nothing was taken, but a door was damaged.

NOT WANTED: A McHugh Avenue resident called police the afternoon of Aug. 16, advising that an unwanted person was at the home. The subject, the caller’s son, was reportedly not taking his medication and was possibly suicidal. The son departed before police arrived and could not be found.

BAD BEHAVIOR: A citizen told police Aug. 16 of two males riding bicycles who were being loud and yelling racial slurs. An officer located the two in the Enumclaw High School parking lot and discussed their behavior. They agreed to stop and to head home.

TANKER ON FIRE: Police responded at 3:45 a.m. Aug. 13 to a Griffin Avenue address and a report of a gasoline tanker with its back wheels on fire. The flames were extinguished and traffic control was provided until a mechanic arrived and the tanker was able to be moved.

HARASSMENT: A female called told police Aug. 13 she had been getting harassing phone calls from an ex-boyfriend. An officer told the man to stop calling but he continued, prompting a personal visit from an officer, who advised that the calls should cease. The ex-boyfriend agreed and the female said she would be obtaining a no-contact order.

GONE FISHING: A caller told police Aug. 13 of several juveniles fishing at the Elk Meadows retention pond. The caller said the pond is city property and the city has agreed to post “no trespassing” signs. A parent with the juveniles said someone with a construction firm had given the juveniles verbal permission to fish in the pond. Officers were to check the legal ownership of the property.
