ASSAULT REPORTED: A victim reported Aug. 31 he had been assaulted at a Watson Street location. Contact was made and a report was taken. The victim was then trespassed from the apartment complex.

DRUG CHARGE: Officers responded Aug. 31 to a Leo Place address after hearing of a disturbance. One person was taken into custody on a Buckley arrest warrant and later released to Buckley authorities; a second person was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and booked into the Enumclaw jail.

THEFT ATTEMPT: A resident of 260th Avenue Southeast told police Aug. 30 of an attempted vehicle prowl that occured about 5 a.m. The caller had interrupted two males trying to remove a trailer hitch from his vehicle. They fled in an older model Jeep Cherokee and could not be located.

THEFTS THWARTED: Enumclaw police were called to assist Buckley authorities at 5:30 a.m. Aug. 30. Buckley police had stopped a vehicle towing a utility trailer packed with various items and were concerned the trailer could be stolen. Police called the registered owner of the trailer but received no reply. The trailer and its contents – a generator, lawn tractor, table and chairs, two lawn trimmers and more – were impounded. Officers later received a call about a theft of Boy Scout equipment from a shed in Enumclaw and determined some of the items were among those in the Buckley trailer. Also, a woman called about a stroller taken from her front yard; that, too, was found in the trailer.

TIRE HEIST: Police took a report the afternoon of Aug. 30 from someone following a vehicle allegedly involved in a theft of tires from a warehouse. The vehicle was last seen at Roosevelt Avenue. Almost two hours later, a caller told police the suspect vehicle was at an Enumclaw business, up on jacks and apparently having the stolen tires mounted. One suspect was taken into custody.

POSSIBLE BURGLARY: A resident of Southeast 452nd Street called police the afternoon of Aug. 30, reporting a man yearing yellow shorts fled from the home when discovered. Officers responded and found nothing. Determining that the scene was outside the city, the case was turned over to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

NEEDING HELP: An employee of a Monroe Avenue business reported Aug. 30 a man fell into a glass window. The window did not break, but the caller was concerned about the man’s welfare. Medical personnel responded and transported the man to St. Elizabeth Hospital for evaluation. The subject’s mother was advised.

SHED TARGETED: A Warner Avenue resident told police Aug. 30 a juvenile had attempted to breakinto a shed. The suspect fled before an officer arrived. It was not immediately known if anything was missing.

TRAILER GONE: A cargo trailer containing band equipment was reported stolen Aug. 30 from a Loraine Street address.

THIRD THEFT: A Stevenson Avenue resident called police Aug. 29, reporting a theft of gasoline from a vehicle. It had happened twice before and the victim had only requested extra police patrol. On the third occasion, he filed a theft report.

THREATS MADE: A man notified police Aug. 29, claiming he was receiving threatening phone calls from his aunt. The issue was settled upon police contact.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Police responded Aug. 29 to a domestic dispute on Highpoint Street. A son was attempting to retrieve his personal belongings. That was accomplished without incident.

COUNTY’S CASE: An officer responded Aug. 29 to a Cole Street address after hearing of a domestic violence situation that had turned physical. It was determined the incident occurred outside the city limits, in county jurisdiction. County authorities were asked to contact the victim at her home.

MISSING TEEN?: Puyallup police received a tip regarding a juvenile runaway, learning that she might be panhandling with an older male in front of an Enumclaw grocery store. The 15-year-old has been missing since March. A city officer spoke with Puyallup authorities and requested a photograph of the missing teen.

NEIGHBORHOOD TROUBLE: A Natalie Place resident told police Aug. 26 she was being harassed and threatened by a neighbor. An officer contacted both parties, determined both were at fault and had both agree to stay away from the other.

MEDICAL ASSIST: An officer responded to a Sun Mountain Drive address Aug. 26 to help with an aid call involving an infant. The patient was evaluated and transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital. The officer determined there was nothing suspicious about the incident.

GUN SHOWN: A citizen reported to police Aug. 27 that a neighbor had approached him, made a comment and lifted his shirt to show a firearm tucked into the waistband of his pants. An officer contacted all involved, confiscated the weapon and noted that a citation was going to be mailed.

FIGHT IN PROGRESS: Police heard of a fight in progress at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at a Railroad Street location. One subject was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital. Due to blood on a bench, police were to perform a biohazard washdown.
