UNDER THE INFLUENCE: Following a traffic stop at 12:52 a.m. Aug. 11 on Roosevelt Avenue, a suspect was arrested for driving under the influence. The vehicle was impounded.

ROAD RAGE: City police were informed by King County deputies of a road rage incident involving two vehicles heading into Enumclaw. The incident took place at 8:22 a.m. Aug. 11. One of the drivers were arrested and booked for driving with a suspended license. The road rage incident was settled upon police contact.

THEFT REPORTED: An employee of a Roosevelt Avenue business told police Aug. 11 of the theft of a two iPods and an iPod charger. Investigation revealed the exact items taken was not known and a store video could not help identify a suspect.

SIGNAL DAMAGED: A truck driver improperly turned at the corner of Griffin Avenue and Porter Street Aug. 11, causing damage to a signal control box. The truck was located on 464th Street and the driver was cited for hit-and-run and failing to have proof of insurance.

SHOPLIFTERS CAUGHT: Two shoplifters, one man and one female, fled a Roosevelt Avenue store on foot the evening of Aug. 11. One suspect was found and the stolen items were returned to the store. A message was left for the male suspect.

MISTAKEN: A citizen called police Aug. 10 after watching a man prowl through a vehicle, enter a Roosevelt Avenue store and then leave in a different vehicle. Police contacted the man and determined it was a misunderstanding; he had mistakenly entered the vehicle, which was identical in appearance to a relative’s vehicle.

NO REPORT: Police were asked to take a report Aug. 10 involving an assault that occurred earlier in the day. An officer was initially unavailable due to a priority call. When an officer responded, the called no longer wanted to file charges, preferring to obtain a court order.

HELP WITH FIRE: An officer was dispatched the evening of Aug. 10 to assist firefighters with a Dumpster fire at a Watson Street address. There were no suspects and no witnesses.

INVOLUNTARY COMMIT: Police heard Aug. 10 of an out-of-control man who was threatening others with a knife at a Division Street address. Contact was made and the man was taken to Auburn Regional Medical Center for an involuntary commitment.

TRAFFIC COMPLAINT: Police were asked Aug. 9 to provide additional patrol at the intersection of Cole Street and Roosevelt Avenue. The concern was about those ignoring a four-way stop, particularly those making right turns.

NO COMCAST: Police heard Aug. 9 of an unwanted subject at the playground area off Riggs Drive. The man told a local resident he was a Comcast representative going door-to-door. Officers made contact and told the man of the city prohibition against soliciting. He agreed to leave.

NO SOLICITING: Police were told Aug. 8 of solicitors going door-to-door in the vicinity of Farrelly Street and Link Avenue. An officer found the people on Chelsea Lane; they were advised soliciting  was prohibited in the city and advised to leave the area.

DRUG OFFENSE: An Aug. 8 traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue resulted in the driver being arrested and booked on drug charges. The vehicle was impounded. A passenger was released at the scene to parents.
