DUI/ENDANGERMENT: A traffic stop at 12:24 a.m. Thursday resulted in the driver arrested and booked for driving under the influence and reckless endangerment. A child and a dog were released to another adult and the vehicle was impounded.

PURSE TAKEN: Police were told Thursday of a purse stolen from a vehicle while it was parked in the area of Sun Mountain Drive.

ANIMAL COMPLAINT: Police took two reports Thursday of a dog chasing people in the Lincoln Avenue area. The dog was located and the issued was forwarded to King County Animal Control.

WINDOW BROKEN: A caller told police Thursday his son witnessed a juvenile male throw a rock through a window at Kibler Elementary School. An officer verified that a window pane was broken but the building was still secure. The officer attempted to contact the suspect, but no one was home; a card was left, asking parents to get in touch with police.

UNWANTED PERSON: A Leo Place resident called police Thursday, advising that her son was present and she would like him removed. Officers responded and found the son hiding in a dryer. They also confirmed the son is the subject of two Enumclaw Municipal Court arrest warrants and a no-trespass letter issued by the mother. The son was taken into custody and booked.

DOG CHASING: Police responded to a Wilson Avenue address Thursday after dogs chased a girl on a bicycle, then the girl’s father threatened the dogs’ owner. An officer advised the father about his threatened behavior and also let the dog owner know that dogs must be kept under control.

DOGS ON THE LINKS: An Enumclaw Golf Course employee called police Thursday regarding three dogs that had been running loose on the property and had been confined. It was said to be an ongoing problem and it was requested police deal with the issue. An officer contacted the dog owners and advised them of the ongoing problem; the owners retrieved the dogs.

SCAMMED: Police were alerted Aug. 11 to an elderly man who had sent money overseas to an unknown person. An officer told the man he had been a victim of fraud. It was learned the man had been sending money for more than a year; he told officers he intended to continue sending money.

THEFT FROM HOME: A McHugh Avenue resident told police Aug. 11 someone had been entering her home and taking money. The incidents were ongoing and totaled about $1,100. There were no immediate suspects. An officer offered recommendations for keeping her home more secure.

DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Police responded Aug. 11 to a Wilson Avenue address and a report of a domestic dispute between a 19-year-old and his parents. The son was taken into custody for fourth-degree assault and being a minor in possession of alcohol.

TWO CHARGES: A motorist called police at 12:48 a.m. Aug. 10, reporting she was being followed by another driver. The occupant of the following car, she said, had damaged her property the week prior. An officer made contact with both parties on Cole Street and took one driver into custody for reckless endangerment and negligent driving.

FARE DISPUTE: A taxi driver parked on Battersby Avenue Aug. 10 called police, asking for assistance with a passenger who did not have enough cash to pay his fare. The issue was settled when a parent agreed to pay the remaining amount due.

TOLD TO LEAVE: A group of 20 to 30 subject were reported outside a Monroe Avenue business, harassing customers at approximately 11:30 p.m. Aug. 10. Store employees had been receiving complaints. An officer advised the crowd to move on and they complied.

ROBBERY: City police, along with King County authorities and medical personnel, responded Aug. 9 to assist the victim of a strong-arm robbery that occurred at 4 p.m. on Mount Peak. The 18-year-old victim was reportedly attacked by three male suspects; he suffered facial injuries and was treated by medical staff. The robbers took $250 from the victim. County authorities took the report.

TWO-CAR CRASH: Police responded at 9 a.m. Aug. 9 to a two-car accident that was blocking traffic at Railroad Street and Stevenson Avenue. Both drivers were transported to Enumclaw Regional Hospital and both automobiles were towed.

ALCOHOL VIOLATION: At 11:39 p.m. Aug. 9, police were told of subject running across the roof of a Griffin Avenue building. An officer contacted two minors behind the building and arrested both for being in possession of alcohol.
