INVOLUNTARY COMMITTMENT: Police responded at 12:15 a.m. March 15 to a man in need of help in the parking lot of a mini-mart. Contact was made and medical aid was summoned. The man was transported to the Auburn hospital on an involuntary committment.
INTOXICATED, ARRESTED: A man arrived at the police station at 12:36 a.m. March 15 to check on an inmate. When visitation was refused, the man became irate, slammed doors and pounded on windows as he was leaving. An officer responded, made contact and arrested the man for driving under the influence.
ASSISTANCE GIVEN: A female patient had been released March 14 from St. Elizabeth Hospital and departed on foot. She made it to the vicinity of Kibler Avenue and Bailey Street but was unable to walk any further. Police responded and provided transportation to her residence.
HARASSMENT: A city resident told police March 14 he had received four calls from an unknown person threatening to shoot him. The victim said he had no idea why someone would threaten him and could not identify the caller, except to note the suspect spoke with a foreign accent.
CIVIL MATTER: A man was asked to leave a Garrett Street business March 14 after he contacted an employee who allegedly owes the man money. Police contacted all involved and determined the man can make purchases but cannot enter the business to harass the employee. It was determined the matter should be pursued through civil court.
UNWANTED MAN: Police were told the afternoon of March 14 of an unwanted man at a May Court address. The man, who was the subject of a court order that needed to be served, fled through a back door just before police arrived. The reporting party was told to call again if the man returned.
VEHICLE PROWLS: An officer located three vehicles that had been prowled at about 11 p.m. March 14; two were at Chinook Avenue addresses and one was on Cinkovich Street. Items were reported missing from one of the vehicles.
