NO PARKING: A vehicle was impounded at 4:25 a.m March 30 for violating provisions for handicapped parking. A notice was sent to the registered owner.

DAMAGE DONE: A Victor Street resident notified police March 30 of damage done to the parking strip in front of the residence. An officer located a suspect and contact was made with parents. The involved parties agreed to address the damage. The same situation occurred at a Link Avenue address.

BANGING ON WALLS: A caller told police at 2:15 a.m. March 29 a neighbor was banging on his apartment wall. An officer responded and was told the banging had stopped, because the complainant had banged on the wall in return. The officer advised that the response was not appropriate and that police should handle the issue next time.

ASSAULT/AUTO TAKEN: Police learned March 29 of an assault at a Warner Avenue address. The suspect had already departed, taking the victim’s automobile in the process. An officer determined there was probable cause to charge the suspect with fourth-degree assault/domestic violence and taking a motor vehicle without permission.

CONCERNED FOR SAFETY: Police were asked March 29 to check on a man who was said to be under the influence of a controlled substance and very paranoid. He was known to keep weapons, including a hatchet. The reporting party was concerned the man would hurt himself or others. An officer counseled the subject.

JEWELRY THEFT: Police received a report March 28 of jewelry stolen from a McHugh Avenue address. A possible suspect was one the scene but denied taking the missing items. He referred police to two other females who temporarily stayed at the residence.

HARASSMENT: A March 28 caller told police a man in a neighboring apartment, after being contacted by officers for his loud music, was yelling obscenities. The caller felt the obscenities were directed at him. The caller said he had children present and was offended by the language. An officer contacted both parties and reported the situation was resolved.

NOISE COMPLAINT: A Myrtine Street resident told police a neighbor, who had been drinking, was causing a disturbance by screaming and moving a garbage bin into the middle of a walkway. Police responded to the 10:35 p.m. call, located the suspect and advised him to stay in for the night.

VEHICLE PROWL: Police received word at 5 a.m. March 28 of a vehicle prowl on Battersby Avenue. The owner reported nothing was taken and there was no damage to the vehicle, which had been left unlocked.

BURGLARY: After cutting gates and locks, someone broke into starage containers and stole multiple items, including three sets of wheels and tires, a pressure washer and a generator.
