NOT WANTED: Staff from the local senior center notified police the morning of May 18, reporting a man was present who has a history of being rude and was considered dangerous by staff. An officer contacted the man, removed him from the center and told him he was not allowed to return for six months.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: An officer observed a vehicle at a city dealership with its engine running and doors unlocked at 1:08 a.m. May 18. Other vehicles also were found to be unlocked. There were no employees on site, so a manager responded to secure the vehicles.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF: Police learned the morning of May 17 of malicious mischief and the theft of mail from multiple locations on Warner Avenue and Charwila Lane. There also was damage done to lawn lighting on Scandia Avenue and garbage cans strewn about the neighborhood.

TWO CHARGES: Police responded the afternoon of May 17 to a Warner Avenue address and a reported hit-and-run incident. After a suspect vehicle was stopped, the driver was arrested for both hit-and-run and driving under the influence.

THREATS MADE: Police were told the afternoon of May 17 of threats being made, stemming from an incident earlier in the day. The victim’s father declined to press criminal charges. The victim’s mother later called, stating the suspect was attempting to contact the victim via text messaging. An officer left a message for the suspect, suggesting that attempts to contact the victim cease or charges could be pursued.

JUVENILES: A report was issued at 6:30 p.m. May 17, telling of a group of juveniles behind the senior center being vulgar and damaging a street sign. An officer made contact with the group and advised them to move on.

NO BUSINESS: Police received a complaint the afternoon of May 16 regarding two men contacting people in a Garrett Street parking lot regarding automotive body repair. The two were said to be aggressive and had no business cards. They were gone when police arrived.

THEFT FROM AUTO: A vehicle window was smashed the afternoon of May 14 while parked at the Boise Creek Sixplex. Taken was a purse containing a camera.

TOO LATE: Police were told at 1:20 a.m. May 14 of subjects playin gat the park in the Flensted Additional. An officer contacted the group, advised them of park hours and they agreed to leave.

JUVENILE TROUBLE: Police responded the morning of May 13 to a Watson Street home after hearing of an out-of-control juvenile breaking things. After an officer contacted all parties involved and counseled the juvenile, the matter was settled.
