OFFICERS HURT: Police responded at 8:25 a.m. Nov. 22 to a Florence Street address after a man was found on the back porch of the home. He was taken into custody for first-degree criminal trespassing and resisting arrest. Two officers were injured while taking the subject into custody.

CHECK ON KIDS: A social worker from Child Protective Services called city police the morning of Nov. 22, stating she was attempting to check on the welfare of three children at a Warner Avenue address but the mother was refusing to let her into the home. The mother then called 911, agitated that police were at her home. The mother eventually agreed to let a family member and the CPS worker into the home. The scene was turned over to CPS.

THREE PROWLS: A Florence Street resident told police the morning of Nov. 21 of a vehicle prowl that occurred during the night. Her Honda Accord had been pushed into the road, but nothing was taken except a can of WD-40. The week prior, she had found a teenage boy in her vehicle, but had not reported the incident. Later in the day, police learned of two additional vehicle prowls, one at a Lois Lane address and the other at a Watson Street address. Taken in the Lois Lane incident were a garage door opener, Bluetooth device, raincoat and a paycheck. Taken from the Watson Street heist were an iPod and an iTrip.

STOLEN, RECOVERED: Police took a report Nov. 21 of a small pickup abandoned in a field on Southeast 436th Street. Immediately following that call, police learned the vehicle was stolen from a residence on Carbon Ridge Street. The pickup was returned to its owner.

UNWANTED: An officer responded at 5:30 a.m. Nov. 19 to a Warner Avenue address due to an unwanted male subject. It was determined to be a civil matter and the resident was advised of the eviction process. The homeowner arrived at the police station later in the day requesting advice about obtaining a restraining order, as the man was drinking and being verbally abusive.

GUNSHOTS: Four of five gunshots reportedly were heard the morning of Nov. 19 in close proximity to a house on Warner Avenue. Three citizens said they heard the shots, which sounded as though they came from a pistol. Nothing was found when police searched the area.

CIVIL CASE: Police were told Nov. 19 of a traffic accident that had occurred several days earlier. At the time, an at-fault driver had told the other motorist he would pay for damage done to the victim’s automobile. After a quote was obtained, the suspect would not respond. Due to the agreement at the time, it became a civil issue and police were not to be involved. The victim was advised to get her insurance agent involved.

HARASSMENT: A caller told police Nov. 19 her brother had been drinking and was harassing her and other family members. The man had been a recent, house guest, unwanted due to his intoxication and verbally abusive behavior. He was taken into custody for three counts of domestic violence/harassment.

UNDERAGE DRINKING: A traffic stop shortly before 10 p.m. Nov. 19 resulted in two passengers cited for being minors in possession of alcohol, one of them being a juvenile. The incident occurred at state Route 410 and Warner Avenue.

TRESPASSING: Police were told Nov. 18 of possible drug activity by a tenant and her boyfriend, who had been told to stay away from the property. After responding to the Battersby Avenue address, police took a man into custody for violalting a no-trespass order.

SUBJECT RELEASED: A traffic stop at 11 p.m. Nov. 18 resulted in a driver taken into custody on a King County arrest warrant. The county advised it would not picking up the subject, who was then released with a verbal warning.

PROPANE STOLEN: Police were told the morning of Nov. 17 that someone had broken into a propane storage cage the previous two night and made off with more than 10 tanks of propane. The incident occurred at a Garrett Street business.

PISTOL WANTED: A man called a Semanski Street business the morning of Nov. 17, claiming to have stored a pistol in a recycle bin and stating he wanted the weapon back. Staff at the business said they would search the  recycle bin and if a pistol was found they would turn it over to police.

MEDICAL ASSIST: An officer responded Nov. 17 to a Phillips Avenue address, where they assisted paramedics who were treating a female who had cut her hand and was refusing assistance from family members. The officer assisted with an assessment and transportation to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

ASSAULT CHARGED: A report of domestic violence had police responding Nov. 17 to an Aspen Lane address. A suspect was not at the location but was located, arrested and booked for fourth-degree assault.
