DANGEROUS

• A citizen complained to police Oct. 26 a vehicle was blocking the road in the Garrett Street vicinity and there were no flaggers or cones to warn motorists. Police contacted workers who agreed to put out some warning cones.

TAILGATING

• A motorist called police the afternoon of Oct. 26 to report a full-size pickup being driven recklessly on state Route 169, heading into town. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was warned about his behavior.

SUSPICIOUS GROUP

• Police responded Oct. 24 to concerns about a large group of juveniles hanging out in a Monroe Avenue parking lot, leaving trash and broken glass on the ground. Officers made contact with two groups that were loitering and asked them to move on.

DOMESTIC TROUBLE

• Following an Oct. 24 report of a verbal domestic situation, police responded to a Watson Street location where they arrested a man for assault.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF

• Extra patrol was requested Oct. 24 in the area of Highpoint Street after several homes were hit with eggs and had pumpkins stolen.

PEDESTRIAN HIT

• An officer responded the morning of Oct. 23 to a Roosevelt Avenue parking lat after learning a pedestrian had been hit by a car. The pedestrian confirmed there were no injuries and the issue was settled.

SCAM ATTEMPT

• An elderly woman told police Oct. 23 she had refused to participate in a possible scam and was then threatened by the person involved. A report was taken and the victim asked for extra patrol around her Gossard Place residence.
