BURGLARY
• A representative of a Cole Street business arrived in the police station lobby at 3:18 a.m. Sept. 9, reporting a commercial burglary. She had been alerted to an alarm activated at the business and, upon her arrival, found a dead bolt had been removed and the till was missing.
INDECENT EXPOSURE
• An officer on patrol at 11:50 p.m. Sept. 9 spotted two men running naked through a parking lot in the vicinity of Roosevelt Avenue. The two were detained, then transported to their hotel; the ride came with a warning about indecent exposure laws. They were instructed to remain at the hotel for the remainder of the night.
THEFT FROM PURSE
• Police received a report the afternoon of Sept. 9 of $100 in cash stolen from an employee’s purse at a Cole Street location. There were no immediate suspects. A list was being compiled of everyone who had access to the purse.
WELFARE CHECK
• Police were asked Sept. 8 to check on the welfare of a Chinook Avenue resident who had not shown up for work for several days; the request was made by the employer. Police contacted the individual, who was fine; she agreed to contact her employer.
MISCHIEF
• Several employees at Enumclaw High School found whipped cream on their vehicles Sept. 8. The incident was reported to police as an “information only” item.
ONE ARRESTED
• A traffic stop at 12:21 a.m. Sept. 7 at the intersection of state Route 410 and Warner Avenue resulted in the driver being arrested for driving with a suspended license; further, he was wanted on an outstanding warrant issued by Federal Way Municipal Court. He was taken to the Enumclaw station and his car was impounded.
THEFT
• Police responded shortly after 1 a.m. Sept. 5 to a shoplifting incident at a Monroe Avenue store. Two suspects were located, taken into custody, booked on a third-degree theft charge and released. They also were banned from the store.
FOUND PROPERTY
• A Porter Street resident reported an abandoned bicycle behind his garage. An officer responded, took the bike and placed it in storage. The following day, it was discovered the bicycle had been stolen. The owner was contacted and the bike was returned.
SEVERAL CHARGES
• A traffic stop at 8:46 p.m. Sept. 5 resulted in the driver being cited for possession of marijuana, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license. Also, the driver failed to have a required interlock device in the vehicle.
TRESPASSING
• Staff at a city hotel called police the afternoon of Sept. 4, telling of a woman who was using showers without permission and refusing to leave. Officers asked the woman to leave and not return; she agreed.
OUTSTANDING WARRANTS
• One suspect was arrested at 4 p.m. Sept. 4 on warrants issued by the state Department of Corrections, King County Sheriff’s Office and Kent Police Department. The suspect was transported to the county jail.
