With the start of school drawing near, the Enumclaw School District has announced a series of special days that will get students ready for the year to come.
Enumclaw Middle School
EMS will host its annual Timberwolf Day on Monday. Aug. 26. Students will have the opportunity to pick up their class schedule, have their photo taken, sign up for sports and purchase an ASB card, yearbook and uniform for physical education. The day begins with returning seventh- and eighth-grade students in the following order by last name:A through F, 9 to 9:30 a.m.; G through L, 9:30 to 10 a.m.; M through R, 10 to 10:30 a.m.; and S through Z, 10:30 to 11 a.m. Orientation for incoming sixth-graders and new students will begin at 12:30 pm. After a short presentation, students will meet a teacher and be given their locker assignment.
After Timberwolf Day, fees will not be accepted until the first day of school.
Thunder Mountain Middle School
The staff welcomes all Titans during the Aug. 22 Day of Thunder.
Sixth-graders will pick up their class schedules from 8:40 to 9 a.m., followed by an orientation in the gymnasium. Seventh- and eighth-graders pick up schedules and take care of fees from 12:30 to 1:45 for those with last names A through K or from 1:45 to 3 p.m. for those with last names L through Z.
All students will be able to have their school pictures taken, sign up for sports, pick up schedules and purchase yearbooks/ASB cards/PE uniforms during their scheduled times. The next opportunity to do so will be on the first day of school.
Enumclaw High School
Hornet Days are planned for Thursday and Friday, Aug. 22 and 23
It is extremely important that all students report to EHS to take care of registration details like pictures, temporary I.D. cards, parking, lockers, ASB/yearbook and payment of fees. Payment can be made by cash or check only. One payment can be made for all fees combined, with the exception of food service and student pictures, where separate payments are required.
The following schedule has been established for Hornet Days. Those with a last name beginning with:A through F, 8 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday; G through L, noon to 2:30 p.m. Thursday; M through R, 8 to 10-:30 a.m. Friday; and S through Z, noon to 2:30 p.m. Friday.
Enumclaw High freshman orientation (students only)
From 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20
Freshmen Orientation is designed to both welcome and support freshmen. The following information will help freshman know what to expect in advance of their first day of school.
1) Students will receive their class schedule on this day and get a tour of the campus;
2) Students are encouraged not to bring backpacks, purses or other like items as the day is quite active;
3) Because the day is active, students should wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement.
This is a student-only function.
Enumclaw High athletics
The Fall Sports Athletic Registration Day is Monday, August 19, 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
A – L, 8 to 10:30 a.m.
M – Z, noon to 2:30 p.m.
