Tickets for the city of Enumclaw’s 2009 Evenings on the Plateau Series are on sale at the Enumclaw Expo Center.

This season’s series includes six special performances, starting with zydeco band How’s Bayou Jan. 10.

According to city of Enumclaw Cultural Programs Manager Gary LaTurner, ticket prices have remained the same for seven years thanks to grants from 4Culture and support from the city of Enumclaw, the Enumclaw Courier-Herald, Puget Sound Energy Foundation and Mutual of Enumclaw Insurance Group.

Buying tickets early saves money. Season tickets are $75 for adults and $60 for students (baby to 18 years old) and seniors (65 years and older). Single event tickets are $14 for adults, $11 for seniors. The city is currently offering a free ticket to How’s Bayou for anyone purchasing season tickets.

Dessert tickets will also be available at the Expo Center. Each performance will feature dessert, Cafe Panini’s Pie Goddess selection or Sweet Necessities’ fudge, for an extra $5 per person. Tickets must be ordered in advance.

The series continues Feb. 14, Valentine’s Day, with violinist Geoffrey Castle, star of the Taco Time commercial that was shot locally for national distribution.

One month later, on March 14, back by popular demand, the Harmony Kings return to the Plateau with their barbershop renditions.

Local performer Kevin Jones and his band take the stage with their pop and rock April 11. Jones is well-known inside and outside the area as a gifted entertainer.

What could be better than Buck Owen’s music all night long? The Buckaroosters will hit the stage with exactly that May 9.

The series concludes with Jonathan Harris June 13. Harris is fast becoming a musical force in the country genre. This singer/songwriter has had the honor of warming stages for Merle Haggard, the Charlie Daniels Band and Jo Dee Messina.
