FELONY WARRANT: At 11:39 p.m. April 12, a 47-year-old man was stopped on Third Street for a traffic violation and found to be driving with a suspended license. A check with dispatch also revealed the man had a no-bail felony arrest warrant and a second warrant for driving with a suspended license. He was arrested and booked into the Buckley jail. He will be transferred to Pierce County jail once he is released on the Buckley charges.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT: An officer was dispatched to a possible domestic dispute in progress on North Fourth Street almost an hour after midnight April 14. As he arrived, several men exited the residence, one of whom had blood on his face. The officer determined that a case of domestic violence had occurred and the bloody man was the instigator. He was placed under arrest and booked in jail.
JAIL INCIDENT: At 3:42 a.m. April 15, an officer was watching jail monitors when he saw what he thought was a fight in progress. When he arrived to intervene, he found it was a suicide attempt.
UNDER THE INFLUENCE: At 4:09 a.m. April 15, an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on state Route 410 near Jefferson Avenue. As the officer contacted the driver, he could smell intoxicants. The driver insisted he hadn’t been drinking. He performed voluntary field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. His vehicle was impounded.
MINOR IN POSSESSION: An officer stopped a 20-year-old driver and her 19-year-old passenger for a traffic violation on Mason Avenue near SR 410 shorly after 1 a.m. on April 17. The passenger was found to be under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested, processed and released to the driver.
