UPDATE 12/12/2012 2:49 p.m.: The majority of the fire has been extinguished, and firefighters requested a fire investigator come to the scene. No victims were found inside the residence.
UPDATE 12/12/2012 2:23 p.m.: Crews at the scene are reporting smoke from the roof of a double wide mobile home. The team is beginning to deploy hoses. There are no people to rescue apparent at this time.
East Pierce firefighters are responding to a residential structure fire on the 27200 block of 86th St. E., according to a status update on IAFF Local 3520’s Facebook page. 86th Street East is broken up into sections that traverse from Puyallup to Buckley. The section in question is in an area of unincorporated Pierce County north/northeast of Buckley, off the Old Sumner-Buckley Highway.
The caller to the fire station reported flames emanating from the roof of a house.
