The Buckley Santa Project, put on by the Buckley Volunteer Firefighters Association, is accepting donations and names for this year's community giving tree.

This year's trees will be set up at the police department lobby and also Curves of Buckley. If people don't want to select an age to buy for, any donations are welcome.

In addition to donations of toys or Christmas supplies and batteries, Angie Riggsby, a coordinator of the project, said they are still accepting people's names to be included on the list. People can either stop at the fire station or public works department and register a family for the list or they can call Riggsby at the Fire Department at 360-829-1441 or Devon Boyle at the public works department at 360-829-1921.

While any donations are welcome, including wrapping paper and batteries, Riggsby said the greatest demand is for boys and girls ages 12-18 because typically they are hardest to buy for. Donations will also be accepted when the Santa truck makes its rounds.

The presents will be delivered Dec. 20, and Riggsby said all presents should be unwrapped when donated.
