Friends and family will host a three-day benefit sale for Melanie Christianson Friday, July 23, Saturday, July 24, and Sunday, July 25, at KenMar Farms, 44110 239th Ave. S.E., Enumclaw.
Melanie Christianson and her horse Lady were in an accident June 12 while competing at a show in Sequim, Wash. According to her Web site, www.melaniechristianson.com, she was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center where they discovered she broke two vertebrae in her neck.
According to reports, she came through surgery like a champ and surgeons repaired the broken vertebrae, but she has months of recovery and physical therapy in the months ahead.
With two horses to feed, hospital bills and accident-related expenses piling up, friends and family are raising money to help.
Garage sale items are being collected and volunteers to help out are needed. Contact Lia Carlile at cra8z4him@centurytel.net.
