The city of Enumclaw said its final goodbye Monday night to Jon Funfar, who has departed his post as director of media services.

Media Services  is a division of city administration and is responsible for programming ECTV Channel 21, telecommunications, cable franchising and the city website. Funfar has staffed the one-man city office for slightly more than a decade.

He will head across the Cascade Mountains to the Tri-Cities, where he will fill a similar role for the city of Pasco. He said the decision to move was a tough one, but he had accomplished all the professional goals he hoped to achieve in Enumclaw. His work with ECTV has garnered numerous awards.

Funfar is a local native who graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1987 and earned a degree from Pacific Lutheran University.
