The boat launch and parking area at the end of Randall Drive Northwest on Gig Harbor Bay will be closed July 7-13 so Pierce County can rehabilitate the launching ramp.

Crews will replace the existing launching ramp structure with concrete panels purchased from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.

During the closure, boaters may use the following county-operated launch sites: 37th Street Northwest on Wollochet Bay, 10th Street Northwest in the Point Fosdick area, A Street KPS in Home, and Hall Road in Vaughn.

Pierce County rehabilitated the boat ramps at the A Street KPS and 37th Street Northwest boat launches in 2013, and the boat ramps on Hall Road and 72nd Street KPS near Long Branch in 2012.
