Gov. Jay Inslee orders flags lowered to half-staff in memory of the victims of the Oso mudslide

Gov. Jay Inslee and other state officials will meet outside the Legislative Building at noon on Tuesday, April 15, to lower the flags in memory of the victims of the Oso mudslide that occurred on March 22.

Gov. Jay Inslee and other state officials will meet outside the Legislative Building at noon on Tuesday, April 15, to lower the flags in memory of the victims of the Oso mudslide that occurred on March 22.

The governor and others will gather on the steps of the Legislative Building before lowering the flag in the flag circle.

The governor issued a directive Monday that flags at all state facilities in Washington be lowered to half-staff at noon on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 and should remain at half-staff until the end of the day on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, or first thing Wednesday morning, April 23, 2014.

The directive also urges other government entities, citizens and businesses to join in this recognition.
