Gov. Jay Inslee announced he is appointing Judge Linda Lee to the Division II Court of Appeals, District III.
Lee, who has served as a Pierce County Superior Court judge since 2004 and a partner at Gordon, Thomas, Honeywell, Malanca, Peterson and Daheim LLP for 13 years before that, has an extensive record of professional and civic involvement in Pierce County including as a former board member for the World Trade Center Tacoma, and currently as a board member for the Pierce County Center for Dispute Resolution and Steilacoom Kiwanis.
“Judge Lee has a tremendous record of service to her community both on and off the bench,” said Gov. Inslee. “I’m confident she’ll be an outstanding addition to the Division II Court of Appeals and continue serving the people of Washington with great distinction.”
“Judge Linda Lee is an experienced, hard-working jurist whose abilities are well-suited to a high-volume appellate court such as ours,” said Chief Judge Lisa Worswick. “Her reputation for incisive legal analysis is well-deserved, and we look forward to working with her.”
Lee is replacing retiring judge Christine Quinn-Brintnall who was first elected to the Court of Appeals in 2000. Lee’s term is effective Jan. 6.
