DUI INTO HOUSE: Officers were called July 17 about a car collision that possible struck a house. When officers arrived, they saw that the car struck the front game leading to the house. The homeowner told officers he helped the man out of the car after the crash and smelled intoxicants. Looking in the car, he also found a bong. After the driver was treated by East Pierce Fire and Rescue, officers arrested him for DUI and impounded the vehicle.
GUNSHOT IN APARTMENT: Officers were dispatched on July 17 to a gunshot report. The maintenance man for the apartment complex told officers who fired the shot and the shot was fired accidentally into the apartment wall. Officers talked to the man who shot the gun, and he told officers he took the gun from his dad’s nightstand and fired it at wall, not realizing it was loaded. Officers cited the man for reckless endangerment and officers removed the other firearms they found unsecured in the master bedroom.
