Historic Daffodil Festival this Saturday | Sumner

The Daffodil Festival 5K Run and Grand Floral Parade are coming to Sumner this Saturday! This treasured tradition began over 85 years ago at the Orton farm just outside of Sumner. Despite the strange weather, there will be daffodils along with floats, music and plenty of fun!

The Daffodil Festival 5K Run and Grand Floral Parade are coming to Sumner this Saturday!  This treasured tradition began over 85 years ago at the Orton farm just outside of Sumner.  Despite the strange weather, there will be daffodils along with floats, music and plenty of fun!

Daffodil 5K Challenge begins in Sumner at 1 pm.

Daffodil Festival Grand Floral Parade begins in Sumner at 2:30 pm.

The Parade runs right down Main Street from Kincaid Avenue to just past the High School.  Sumner’s restaurants and unique stores offer great options to round out your visit, and the Sumner Historical Society will open up the historic Ryan House, right on Main Street, for tours starting at 1 pm.

The map below shows the streets that will be closed or congested as well as options for parking.  Street parking is also available throughout the downtown.  Please keep all driveways and alleys clear and accessible and drive extra carefully as families will be walking to and from the parade route.  Enjoy the festival!
