“We’ve had a continuous line the whole time,” Mona Holland said while welcoming guests.

People lined up to get their sampling glasses and passports at the registration area. The passports, when stamped from all participating businesses allow the holder to enter a drawing for a prize. With glasses and umbrellas in hand, wine walk participants traveled the sidewalks of Main Street, taking shelter in the open businesses to shop and sample. People wandering by Berryland Cafe were offered snacks by owners Nolan and Lola Burslie and, just past them, The Attic was open for people wanting to visit any of the 12 businesses represented inside.

For years the event had the name Sweetheart Wine Walk, but it now is intended to appeal to a broader crowd. It may have worked, because turnout was considered strong considering the weather.
