ANIMAL ISSUE: An officer was dispatched the evening of July 12 to check on an injured dog at a River Avenue address. The injury appeared serious and, after owners could not be located, the animal was taken to a veterinary hospital.

DRIVER CHARGED: Officers initiated a traffic stop the night of July 12 after determining the registered owner of a vehicle had a suspended license. The motorist, a Bonney Lake woman, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Officers searched the vehicle and located an illegal substance. The vehicle was impounded and the driver was booked into jail.

UNDER THE INFLUENCE: After witnessing multiple violations, police stopped a car at 11:13 p.m. July 11 in the area of 112th Street and state Route 165. The driver, a 22-year-old man from Tacoma, was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested, issued a criminal citation and released from custody.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Reports of a domestic dispute had officers responding to a Coul Avenue apartment shortly before midnight July 10. A woman at the scene said her husband had punched her in the face 15 times. Officers determined there had been an assault so the husband was arrested and booked into the SCORE jail in Des Moines.
